Etsy fees in Australia: domestic and international orders
For a shop with an Australian bank account, Etsy's payment processing fee is 3% + A$0.25 on a domestic order and 4% + A$0.25 on an international one. Here is one order worked out both ways, and a link to try your own numbers.
What is specific to Australia
Payment processing
3% + A$0.25 on domestic orders and 4% + A$0.25 on international orders, stated in Australian dollars. Etsy sets this by the country of your bank account. The calculator's Australia preset fills in the domestic 3%. For an international order, change the percentage to 4. Source: What are payment processing fees.
No regulatory operating fee
Etsy lists the countries that charge a regulatory operating fee, and Australia is not among them. The calculator uses 0% and the example shows A$0.00. Check your statement, and edit the rate if a line appears. Source: What is a regulatory operating fee.
The rest of the bill
Etsy states these without naming a country, so the calculator uses them for Australian shops too: a 6.5% transaction fee (Etsy fee basics), a $0.20 USD listing fee (fees and taxes for selling on Etsy) and, only on orders Etsy attributes to its ads off Etsy, an Offsite Ads fee of 15%, or 12% once your shop has made $10,000 USD or more in any consecutive 365 days, never more than $100 USD per order (how Etsy's Offsite Ads work). The main page explains each fee.
Which amounts are in which currency
A$ means Australian dollars: the A$0.25 in the processing fee, as Etsy states it, and every amount in the example. A plain $ with USD after it means US dollars, which is how Etsy states the $0.20 listing fee, the $100 Offsite Ads cap and the $10,000 threshold. Enter the listing fee in your shop currency: the A$0.20 in the example is the calculator's placeholder, not a conversion. No exchange rates are used.
A worked example

Assumptions and sources
- Rates were checked on 2026-11-03 from Etsy's help pages and may change without notice. None of those pages shows an effective date. We read the help pages, not Etsy's formal Fees & Payments Policy, which would not load.
- Sales tax and refunds are excluded.
- Results are estimates. Compare them with your Etsy payment statements.
- Fees are worked out on the order total after your discount. The listing fee is counted once per item sold.
- Not included: the 2.5% currency conversion fee, the shop set-up fee, Etsy Ads, and taxes Etsy withholds from some sellers, such as India's TCS and TDS.
- Etsy states the listing fee and the Offsite Ads cap in USD. The calculator treats them as plain numbers in your shop currency and does no currency conversion, so enter your own amounts.
